We have the pleasure in offering this beautiful Lotus F1 2012 testcar. Built by the well respected Lotus Motorsport Team and used in 2012 for testing purpose by Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean.
You can still find the temperature-measure stickers on several places of the car which indicates that this car was used for testing.
We have bought the car a couple of years ago and since then it was displayed in our showroom, located in Houten (centre of the Netherlands).
Now we think it is time to find a new owner for this F1 car, maybe someone that will be able to get the engine back in the car?
Because of the strict rules and regulations in de Formula 1 we did not had the possibility to buy the engine with the car, Renault didn't want that so they kept the engine.
Moulded carbon fibre and aluminium honeycomb composite monocoque, manufactured by Lotus F1 Team and designed for maximum strength with minimum weight. Installing the engine as a fully stressed member.
Carbon fibre top and bottom wishbones operate an inboard rocker via a pushrod system. This is connected to a torsion bar and damper units which are mounted inside the front of the monocoque.
Carbon fibre top and bottom wishbones with pull rod operated torsion springs and transverse-mounted damper units mounted in the top of the gearbox casing.
Lotus Seven-speed semi-automatic titanium gearbox with reverse gear. “Quickshift” system in operation to maximise speed of gearshifts.
